When hiring a vehicle correct insurance is a major factor of the rental agreement.
Our insurance is placed with underwriters at Lloyds of London, and in order to comply with the terms of the insurance, drivers have to satisfy certain criteria laid down by the insurers.
The principle conditions are as follows:-

Drivers have to be aged 21 to 75 years. Drivers over 75 may be acceptable subject to referral to the insurers.
(Additonal age limitations apply to certain vehicles.)
Drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 2 years.
Drivers must not have had a disqualification during the previous 10 years.
Drivers must not have had any licence endorsements in the previous 3 years, though up to 2 endorsements for speeding within that time may be ignored.
Drivers suffering from any medical condition which requires referral to D.V.L.A. have to be referred to our insurers before any rental commences.
Drivers with an adverse claims or accident history may have to be referred prior to commencement of the rental.
